Sakina (pronounced sakeenah) is an Arabic word, meaning serenity, tranquility, peacefulness and repose.
Alternative medicine has always interested Sara. Thanks to her aunt, she was introduced to homœopathy as a child. She became familiar with acupressure and acupuncture in her teens through her Chinese fencing coach, who came from a line of acupuncture doctors. Sara seriously contemplated studying Chinese medicine but it wasn't meant to be. She ended up reading History & Politics at SOAS, University of London. Years later, her interest in homœopathy was rekindled. She started her foundation studies with the School of Homeopathy. She then studied with Rajan Sankaran, a renowned homœopath through his Wednesdays with Rajan course. Finally, Sara graduated from The Dynamis School for Advanced Homoeopathic Studies. She continues to deepen her understanding and is currently studying with Dr. Will Taylor, another very inspiring teacher. Homœopathy is a life long vocation. It has certainly been a daily part of Sara's life since 2006. Sara's goal is to help all her patients find their true potential in life through better health. She is a registered member of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths (ARH) and abides by the ARH Code of Ethics and Practice.
